Oils and fats
- Olive Oil Pomace: 350g
- Tallow Beef : 220g
- Shea Butter : 100g
- Almond Oil, Sweet : 100g
- Coconut Oil : 100g
- Castor Oil: 100g
- Beeswax: 30g
Fragrance
- Lavender EO / Lavandula officinalis :10g
- Eucalyptus Blue gum EO / Eucalyptus globulus : 10g
- Fir Needle EO / Abies siberica : 6g
- Rosemary Spanish EO / Rosmarinus Officinalis : 4g
Colourants
Activated Charcoal : 10g
SAFETY FIRST: Suit up for safe handling practices! That means goggles, gloves and
long sleeves. Always soap in a well-ventilated area.
Method
- Pre mix the Activated Charcoal with a little Olive oil to make a light paste.
- Melt down all the Oils and Butters
- Slowly add the lye water to the oils and stick blend until thin trace.
- Split the Batter into equal parts. Adding the Charcoal paste to one jug
- Add the Essential Oil blend to each, and whisk until completely blended in.
- Using the One Pot Wonder method, Pour both Soap Batters into a larger pouring bowl.
- When pouring you will see a double sided effect, layer this moving up and down the side of the mould. Until all the batter is used. and lastly add your Texture to the top.
- At this point you can add any Botanicals to the top.
- Allow the soap to stay in the mould for about 16-24hr or until its firm enough to remove from the mould.
- Unmould and cut into bars. Allow to cure for 4-6 weeks.
